Preseason Game No. 3

First Period: I can't tell too much from the Pointstreak box score on this one other than that fists are flying at the American Bank Center tonight. There were three scraps in the first 10 minutes, with Erick Lizon being the only repeat fighter of the season for the Bucks. Rookie forward Shaun Norrie and defenseman Vincent Zaore-Vanie were the other two. ... Looks like the goalies are doing a pretty good job, but that's to be expected in this situation. Sebastien Centomo has stopped all of the 10 shots he has faced, while Kris Tebbs has stopped the 11 he's faced. ... Each team went 0-for-3 on the power play in the opening period, though it seems the IceRays may have a 5-on-3 for a minute to open the middle period, then keep the man advantage for another 41 seconds.

Second Period: Centomo let the 12th shot he faced get by, and he was promptly replaced by rookie Ryan Gibb. New IceRays captain Justin Quenneville had the score, assisted by Nicholas Bachand and...Tebbs? Very interesting. ... Tebbs has been replaced in net by former Buck Dustin Traylen. ... IceRays up 2-0 with just under five to play in the period. Patrick Steinmayr on the score, with the assists going to Jeff Grant and Chris Richards. Corpus is now 1-for-4 on the power play, while the Bucks are 0-for-5. ... Okay, same score heading into the second intermission.

Third Period: Adam Powell scored a bit past 15 minutes in to give the IceRays a 3-0 lead. Quenneville and Mike Campaner had the assists. ... Looks like there was quite the fight between Steve Weidlich and Ryan Bennett earlier in the period as Bennett was kicked out of the game on instigator misconduct penalties. Hopefully Weidlich got out of that okay. ... Game over, IceRays win 3-0. I guess all there is to say about this one is at least it's only preseason...
