First Period: Bucks rookie goaltender Ryan Gibb will be getting his start for this weekend tonight, while Dustin Traylen is in net for the IceRays. I really wish I could have gone to this game. Rick Kozak scored his first goal as a Buck 2:22 into the game, and that was following two fights that occurred in the opening minutes. Bucks lead 1-0. ... Justin Quenneville has tied it on his third goal against the Bucks in two nights. ... ... End of the first, Bucks lead 3-1 on three power play goals. Kozak has two, rookie Darryl Smith has one. Bucks are 3-of-4 on the power play so far.
Second Period: Score is tied 3-3 at the second intermission. The IceRays got goals from Chris Richards and Ryan Bennett in the middle period.
Third Period: Bucks lead 4-3 on their fourth power play goal of the game, Smith's second.
Game Over: Bucks win 4-3. Specialty teams sure seem to be huge against the IceRays this season. Here is Bryan Benway's recap, and here is Greg Rajan's postgame take...or at least what will be such eventually. Next up, the undefeated Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, tomorrow night at Dodge Arena. Bees are coming off a 2-1 win over the Odessa Jackalopes tonight in which they were outshot 54-23. They have a fun ride back tonight.
Other Scores: Sundogs 6, Gorillas 3; Eagles 4, RiverKings 2; Thunder 3, Rage 1; Blazers 4, Rush 3; Mudbugs 9, Oilers 3; Brahmas 5, Scorpions 2.
NHL: Blackhawks 5, Stars 2; Canucks 7, Ducks 6 (SO).
