Game Day No. 7

Following the Bucks' 6-3 win over the Corpus Christi IceRays last night, the teams will face off again tonight at the American Bank Center in their third of 13 meetings this regular season.

The team should be in Corpus at this point preparing for the game, in which they will see at least one new face.

I am covering the United South-C.C. Winn football game at the SAC tonight, but I will try to update the blog as often as possible.

As always, you can follow the game live on Pointstreak through the league scoreboard. Here are the pre-game notes, and here is Bryan Benway's preview.

Other games tonight pit the struggling defending champion Arizona Sundogs against the no longer winless Amarillo Gorillas, the top-ranked Colorado Eagles against the Mississippi RiverKings, the undefeated Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees against the Odessa Jackalopes, the Rocky Mountain Rage against the Wichita Thunder, the Rapid City Rush against the Oklahoma City Blazers, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs against the Tulsa Oilers and the Texas Brahmas against the New Mexico Scorpions.

Not sure if Matt Summers will be playing for the RiverKings tonight, but he is listed on their pre-game lineup and Kevin Kaminski had some nice things to say about him in the team's press release regarding yesterday's trade.

Meanwhile, the CHL has posted a note and some video clips about the new officiating standards in what I imagine is a response to what the penalty-full games so far this season have prompted fans to say.

Halloween is a slow night in the NHL, with only the Dallas Stars and Chicago Blackhawks and Vancouver Canucks and Anaheim Ducks playing. Of course, that league's top story today is this. =/
