Here is my story about the signings of rookies Darryl Smith and Mike Collichio from today's Times.
As I mentioned on the blog yesterday, Smith has been invited to training camp with the Houston Aeros. Basically, if he makes the team, he won't be a Buck...but if he doesn't, he will.
Head coach/general manager Terry Ruskowski said he believes his purpose is to get guys up to higher leagues, so he'll be happy to have been involved either way.
Of course, Smith is not the only CHL signee to be getting a shot at the AHL, as some Corpus Christi IceRays will also be at Aeros camp.

Dustin Traylen..good but not great. Certainly not AHL quality. Coach Rosco certainly didn't depend on him for help during last seasons playoffs. Ceci was the "go to" guy at the net.
Dusty's a good pickup for Corpus however there's a reason why he wasn't a priority for the Bucks. That says it all!
