It took more phone calls than I think I've ever made in one day in my life, but I have confirmation that Dustin Traylen was sent out of Laredo via trade...but not one with the Corpus Christi IceRays.
In fact, Traylen's rights were traded to the Mississippi RiverKings in exchange for those to Sebastien Centomo.
The trade occurred earlier this summer but was not publicized until Sept. 5, following Centomo's official signing with the Bucks.
Mississippi did not offer Traylen a contract with financial compensation prior to the league's deadline, and he thus became an unrestricted free agent.
Corpus signed Traylen, who was an All-Star last season, soon after his free agency was established.
Now, instead of my offseason wrapup with Bucks majority owner Glenn Hart, there will be a story about this development in tomorrow's paper, with quotes from Bucks head coach/general manager Terry Ruskowski and some more information about the technicalities of the situation.
Hopefully this helps answer everybody's questions.
