As everyone expected, defenseman Adam Rivet has been named captain of the Bucks for the 2009-10 season.
Rivet served as an alternate captain for the Bucks since I've been here, and he is definitely the responsible type of player/leader people want to see in that position. I know he has a lot of expectations of himself for this season, and I'm sure he knows others will, as well.
Darryl Smith and Mike Looby are this season's alternates, and both of them are excited to be given that leadership responsibility in their returns to Laredo.
