Game Day No. 5

The Bucks will host the Amarillo Gorillas tonight in their fifth game and second home game of the 2009-10 season.

The Gorillas (5-1-0, 10 points) lead the league standings, at least points-wise, partially due to the fact that they've played more games than everyone but the Mississippi RiverKings and Odessa Jackalopes.

The Bucks (2-1-1, five points) are winless in their last two games and hoping to get back to where they were in their opening weekend victories.

Jean-Philippe Levasseur (1-0-1) will get the start in goal tonight for the Bucks after struggling by his own standards in last Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Allen Americans.

Levasseur said that not being able to practice with the team last week due to moving here from California made it a bit more difficult for him to focus, and he thinks he can do a much better job tonight.

With Peter-James Corsi off the IR, lines tonight will be:

Jeff Bes - Darryl Smith - Lance Monych
Igor Agarunov - Evan Schwabe - Neil Trimm
Maxime Lincourt - Corsi - Justin Styffe

I would link to my advance for the game, but apparently our MIS guy decided not to put it online, so you check out Bryan Benway's preview and the Pointstreak pre-game notes for more.

As usual, you can follow the game here or on Pointstreak or listen on IMAGEN 94.1 FM.

UPDATE: Now that I am at the LEC, I can tell you Jeremy Swanson is wearing No. 7 for the Bucks, assumably because they had that jersey around anyway.
