Rookie goaltender Dan Spence was released by the AHL's Abbotsford Heat yesterday, effectively ensuring he will be in Laredo for Bucks camp in a couple weeks.
Spence was sent to Abbotsford after being released by the Calgary Flames last Friday.
The local paper in Spence's home province of British Columbia kept up with his attempt to make it to a higher league.
