New Ice

The new ice at the LEC is all set for training camp, and Bryan Benway was kind enough to share this picture, which he initially posted as a thumbnail on his blog (click on the picture for the full-size version):

Obviously most of the returning guys are already in town, along with a few new players, and more will be arriving every day this week, which means that ice will be getting some use soon. I just got off the phone with Ryan Salvis, and he said he'll be here tomorrow and hopes to be skating by Wednesday, so Art Cullaton and co. will already have their hands full. Can't wait to hear skate blades cutting through that stuff; it's my favorite sound in the world.

that logo looks like clip art.

I think it looks like that because it's a new patch over the existing white surface.

I wish they could repaint the whole surface, it's looking kind of yellowish.

I'm sure it's expensive, though.
