Some Quick Notes

Sorry about the brief blogging hiatus; I'll be back in full force tomorrow.

Practice was short today, and the guys apparently had a 3-on-3 competition before heading out to a ranch for the Bucks' staff retreat. Poor choice of day weather-wise!

For some more in-depth info about the games over the weekend, you can check out Alex Mansfield's New Mexico Scorpions blog.

The CHL had off today, as did many of the lucky people in this world, but Tulsa Oilers forward Jeff Christian and Oklahoma City Blazers netminder Doug Groenestege were named Player and Goaltender of last week, respectively. Big day for Oklahoma!

Oh, and Bob Hoffman has his Monday "Shots from the Point."

Coach Ruskowski said he and Bobby Moore should be sitting down with the doctor to discuss Jeff Bes' prognosis tomorrow, so I'll let you know if I hear anything on that front.

My weekly notebook is being postponed a day due to high school basketball, so it will run in Wednesday's Times, not tomorrow's.

I guess that's about it for now; see you on the flip side.

Yesterday's CHL Score: RiverKings 5, Rage 1.

Yesterday's NHL Scores: Flyers 5, Rangers 2; Devils 6, Sharks 5; Avalanche 6, Red Wings 5 (SO); Capitals 4, Panthers 2; Hurricanes 3, Sabres 0; Thrashers 8, Ducks 4; Canucks 4, Canadiens 2.

Today's NHL Scores: Islanders 3, Penguins 2 (SO); Blues 2, Rangers 1; Stars 3, Blue Jackets 2 (SO); Senators 2, Predators 0; Oilers 3, Coyotes 1; Thrashers 7, Kings 6 (SO).
