Game Day No. 44

Weird as this may be, the home page for my Firefox browser at work is the Pointstreak transactions page. Thus, I just noticed that equipment manager Matt Brayfield is once again a goaltender for the Bucks.

Sebastien Centomo tweaked something last night and obviously came out of the game, and Coach Ruskowski said that his No. 1 netminder would be seeing a doctor before the team decided if he could play the rest of the weekend. If the answer was no, he said they'd be signing Brayfield again.

Of course, that means Andrew Martin will be getting his first start for the Bucks tonight.

In other goalie news, Ryan Gibb has been granted leave by the league. Interesting.

Just thought I'd note those things.

As far as last night, here's my game story and Greg Rajan's story and observations. As he talks about, several of the IceRays' players were under the weather, including a few who were on the ice. Coach Ruskowski also mentioned that to me last night as a big factor in his team being able to dominate the way it did.

We'll see how much changes when these Southeast Division foes face off again in Corpus tonight.

I haven't mentioned the whole "Tony Martino returns to the Valley" saga, so I'll let Brian Sandalow catch you up with his story, a blog post, a second blog post and a third.

Oh, and this is just too ridiculous not to share.
