This week's CHL honorees are going to have to deal with being trumped by Officiating Supervisor Ray Scapinello, who was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame today.
Here is the AP story about today's inductees; Scapinello was joined by former players Igor Larionov and Glenn Anderson and late junior hockey executive Ed Chynoweth.
There are also several stories focusing on Scapinello, including this piece from the Canadian Press and this ESPN.com story, which likens Scapinello to Cal Ripken Jr.
Meanwhile, two Mississippi RiverKings were honored by the CHL today, as forward Brad Bonello was named Player of the Week and netminder (and former Buck) Kevin Beech was named Goaltender of the Week.
Tonight's NHL Scores: Washington Capitals 4, Tampa Bay Lightning 2; Edmonton Oilers 3, New York Rangers 2 (SO).
