As previously stated, I am not covering tonight's game. But, I will still try to keep you updated to the best of my ability. We'll see how this works out.
Starters: Bucks - Jeff Bes (F), Sebastien Centomo (G), Devin Featherstone (D), Rick Kozak (F), Darryl Smith (F), Steve Weidlich (D); Mudbugs - Ken Carroll (G), Kevin Cooper (F), Tyrel Lucas (F), Simon Mangos (D), J.J. Martin (F), David Pszenyczny (D).
First Period: Bucks have taken an early lead on a power-play goal by Kozak. Adam Rivet and Bes on the assists. ... Following three consecutive penalties against the Mudbugs, the Bucks lead 2-0 on another power-play score, this one by Featherstone, assisted by Kozak. ... Smith has scored at even-strength on an assist by Bes to give the Bucks a 3-0 lead. Of course this would be the game I don't get to cover. ... Bucks still lead 3-0 at the end of the period. They seem to be doing great, but the Mudbugs are apparently pretty depleted.
Second Period: I'm sure plenty has gone on, but all I can tell from the box score is that the Bucks have taken five penalties to the Mudbugs' two. No luck for the 'Bugs on the power play, though. ... End of the period, Bucks still up 3-0. Shots are 24-10 in their favor.
Third Period: Joey Olson has finally scored his first goal as a Buck, on assists from Dube and Goupil. Random combination. ... I should have known that was a scorekeeper error when I saw it. Jason Dixon actually scored the goal; assists are correct, though. My apologies to Olson. The goal was the Bucks' third power play score of the game, by the way.
Game Over: Bucks win 4-0. Centomo finally gets a well-deserved shutout, stopping all 30 shots he faced. Carroll, in his first game this season, stopped 24 of 28 by the Bucks. Another big win. Bucks were 3-for-7 on the power play, while the 'Bugs were 0-for-11. Yikes.
Other Scores: IceRays 5, Gorillas 4; Rage 3, Jackalopes 2; RiverKings 3, Blazers 2; Brahmas 4, Scorpions 1; Thunder 3, Killer Bees 2 (SO); Rush 7, Sundogs 4.
NHL Scores: Devils 6, Capitals 5 (SO); Flyers 2, Canadiens 1; Islanders 3, Senators 2; Rangers 3, Bruins 2 (SO); Penguins 5, Sabres 2; Wild 3, Blue Jackets 2 (SO); Stars 3, Coyotes 2; Avalanche 3, Oilers 2 (SO); Predators 3, Kings 1.
