As expected, forward Evan Schwabe has been placed on the 14-day injured reserve due to the lower-body injury he suffered in the All-Star Game last night.
Coach Ruskowski said he expects Schwabe to miss about four weeks, so with Neil Trimm also out for a while, he is in the market for a forward once again.
In an unrelated roster move, Ruskowski signed former Corpus Christi IceRays backup goalie Kevin Desfosses to a five-day contract.
Desfosses will start against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees tomorrow.
I got a chance to talk to him before the team left for Hidalgo about half an hour ago, and he hopes this weekend will turn that five-day deal into one that lasts the rest of the season.
Ruskowski said that is a definite possibility, so we'll see what Desfosses can do in these next few games.
I'll post more, links and some quotes included, when I get to a computer.
Update: Slightly random, but I just noticed a Pens update I got that says Devan Dubnyk will start in goal for the Edmonton Oilers tonight. Dubnyk is the one guy who seems able to take the Springfield Falcons' starting goalie spot away from Jean-Philippe Levasseur, so you Bucks fans should probably want him to lose tonight as much as I do.

So is "Juice" still hurt?
Devan is getting the start because their #1 Guy is out for the rest of the season
Yes, Kyle Gajewski is still hurt; I'll have more on that later. And I know Khabibulin is out, but Deslauriers is still around and they have other guys in the minor league pipeline who they can call up if Dubnyk can't get the job done.
Doesn't look too good. Dubnyk is working on a shutout!
