Jean-Philippe Levasseur has started two more games for the Springfield Falcons since his initial 5-1 loss, and, though he still has yet to earn a win, he did help the Falcons earn a point tonight.
Yesterday, Levasseur was in net for the Falcons' 2-0 loss to the Portland Pirates, in which he faced 31 shots and saved 29 of them.
Tonight, he suffered a 3-2 overtime loss to the Providence Bruins, making 25 saves on 28 shots.
The Falcons were the last-place team in the AHL's Atlantic Division before Levasseur's arrival, so he certainly can't be blamed for their recent struggles, and it seems like they're trying to test him out pretty well before they decide whether or not they want to send him back.
Here is an an interesting story about the Falcons' acquisition of Levasseur that gives you a better idea of what the Falcons were hoping for in calling him up last week.
