Updates and Links

Since there seem to still be some questions about injuries and things of that nature, here is the update on the roster situation I had in the notes for my notebook in yesterday's Times:

Forward Eric Giosa missed practice on Tuesday but is expected to play tonight.

Defenseman Mike Looby is also expected to return to the lineup after suffering a setback in his recovery from an upper-body injury and missing Sunday’s game.

Defenseman Jarred Mohr is day-to-day with his own upper-body ailment.

Forward Neil Trimm, who has been on the 14-day IR since was back on the ice for Tuesday’s practice and is expected to play Saturday, as is forward Robin Richards, who has been on leave from the league since before the weekend’s games.

Forwards Justin Styffe and Tyler Fletcher were placed on the season-ending IR on Tuesday retroactive to the games in which each suffered injuries.

Styffe broke his leg on Jan. 16, and Fletcher broke his wrist in his lone game with Laredo, a 3-2 shootout win over the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees on Friday.

Obviously, some of that is no longer applicable, but I wanted to note that Fletcher's injury was a broken wrist because there seemed to be some questions about that.

Trimm is now expected to play tomorrow night, while according to what Coach Ruskowski said last night, Richards will not be back with the team "until after the weekend, if at all."

Mohr will sit out this weekend, so Igor Agarunov will move back on defense with Trimm back in the lineup.

Meanwhile, you can check out my story in today's Times or Bryan Benway's press release for more on last night's win.

The playoff series against the Allen Americans will obviously start in Allen, with the first two games being played next Friday and Saturday, then move to Laredo for Game 3.

For more on the other Bucks news yesterday, you can read my hockey-focused story and Joe Rutland's business-focused story from today's Times.

And, since I had previously failed to link to any of the awards being given out, here those are:

CHL Man of the Year

All-Rookie Team

All-CHL Team

Rookie of the Year

Coach of the Year

UPDATE: Comments aren't publishing for some reason, but one that was left reminded me that I forgot to mention the Bucks left for Odessa at 9 this morning and will be spending the night there before playing tomorrow. Kevin Desfosses is expected to get his first start since last Wednesday. And Mohr should be ready to play once the series against the Americans begins.

Is the team at the jack shack already? Did they leave last night after the game. Is Jard gonne be ready by game one of the playoffs?
