Game No. 57 - Jackalopes 5, Bucks 4, SO

Obviously my plans to post before the Bucks' game today did not work out... if you see tomorrow's paper, you might understand.

The Bucks gave up a lead in the third period and eventually fell in the 11th round of a shootout to suffer a 5-4 loss to the Odessa Jackalopes.

The Bucks picked up a point, moving to 28-19-10 (66 points) but dropped to fourth place in the Southern Conference as the Texas Brahmas picked up a 7-3 win over the Rapid City Rush to improve to 31-22-5 (67 points).

The Bucks will get their next chance to clinch a playoff spot when they host the Corpus Christi IceRays (26-23-7, 59 points) on Wednesday.

You can read more about tonight's game in Bryan Benway's press release and Lee Scheide's story for the Odessa American.

Did u talk to coach about the lead the team blew on saturday? Again this team is not getting pushed hard enough in practice...

The team did not notify the media that there was practice today until an hour before it started, and I thought there might not be after the drive back yesterday, so I was unable to make it. I will ask Coach Ruskowski about that tomorrow.

Sorry for the delay in response, but I asked about it and everyone said it was just a "heat of the moment" thing when the two of them got caught up in the middle of the scrum. It wasn't really a violent exchange as far as I know.
