You can read my story about last night's 4-3 overtime win over the Texas Brahmas here.
Tonight will be the IR comeback game for Bobby Russell, the second game back for Mike Gooch and Rick Kozak and a second chance for Shawn Snider to prove that he belongs on this team's postseason roster.
With the No. 3 seed clinched and win No. 500 for Ruskowski taken care of, everyone should be playing without much pressure and "gripping the sticks a little less tight," as they say.
Adam Rivet seemed intent on the fact that they can't just coast through these next couple games, and I'd have to agree with him, especially considering the one on Saturday is a playoff preview.
The Brahmas still have a slight chance at the Governor's Cup, so I can't imagine they'll be taking the night off, but we'll see what happens.
As usual, you can check out Bryan Benway's preview and the Pointstreak pre-game notes.
Oh, and Kevin Kaminski has been named the league's Coach of the Year. I know a few people who will be disappointed that Chris Brooks didn't get it, but obviously Kaminski's peers were in agreement that he deserved it. Congrats to him; I'm always fascinated by how affable he is for someone who played the way he did.
