There was a new face on the ice at the Bucks' practice yesterday, as Shawn Snider will be joining the team for its next three games in attempt to earn a spot on the postseason roster.
Mickey Gilchrist was waved yesterday to make room for Snyder, as defensemen Serge Dube and Jaye Judd will close out the regular season on the injured reserve, making room for the returns of defenseman Mike Gooch and forward Rick Kozak tonight.
Veteran forward Bobby Russell will not return until the playoffs.
Coach Ruskowski said what stood out to him about Snider were the forward's numbers in juniors, when he maxed out with 76 points in one season with the Owen Sound Attack.
Ruskowski is hoping Snider can be that natural goal scorer he believes his team has been lacking and said he was cut by the Elmira Jackals purely due to the AHL players (including Chris Korchinski with just one game under his belt) being dumped on the team from Binghamton.
