Turns out my semi-educated guess was correct, and today's press conference was held to announce the return of defenseman/captain Serge Dube.
Dube had told the crowd at the season ticket holder postseason party on April 30 that he would be watching the 2008-09 season from the stands, but luckily for head coach/general manager Terry Ruskowski, the captain changed his mind.
Coach is genuinely 100 percent ecstatic about this decision, and understandably so, considering how many rookies he has coming in for this campaign.
Dube credits losing in the Conference Finals for drawing him back, as he did not want to end his career that way. He only recently turned 29, so according to all parties involved, he could have a few more years left in him. But, he also said that if the Bucks win the Cup this season, it will be his last.
I have plenty of quotes that I will post on here later...but possibly much later as I have to write this story then head out to the SAC for the LBJ-Monterrey Tech football game.
