Just a few days after the trade that brought him back to Laredo was completed, former Bucks captain and veteran forward Brent Cullaton has announced that he is retiring from professional hockey.
Cullaton has played 13 seasons as a pro and, of course, captained the Bucks to both of their President's Cup championships.
He already has a new job lined up, as he has been hired to be the head coach of the expansion Boulder Junior Bison of the Western States Hockey League. Guess that's why he didn't bother moving his family back out here from Colorado.
While I was typing this, the Chicago Blackhawks somehow allowed their 3-0 lead over the Detroit Red Wings to turn into a 3-3 tie. Oy.

Joy, any news about what players might return next season?
Well, other than the obvious (Jeff Bes), we at least know a few who won't be returning. The team should start announcing signings for next season soon, but it'll be new guys before the returning ones.
Its going to be difficult but Rivet, and Iggy should be back as vets so who is going to be the fourth.
I keep watchin his hat trich over and over and over again. That was a great third goal. That was a world class. Malkin deserved his MVP trophy tonight.
